A Fun and Quick Birthday Card

Hi everyone! Diana here with a quick, easy, and fun birthday card that works for all!  This card came together quite quickly and I’m loving how the dew drops match so well with the colors I chose for my card.

I started with a fun circle card cover plate and cut it out in a light blue cardstock. I used Birthday Paw-ty by Hero Arts to create the confetti strip in red and green and then stamped out three balloons and the pup and die cut them out.

I colored the balloons and the pup in with colored pencils in matching colors. I chose to add the sentiment to the green strip at the bottom and add some dew drops in the upper right side to add a bit more visual appeal.

Let’s Do Some Candy

Srabonti Sandha here from Tale of Quilling. Today I have created a project with the Artsy Dewdrop Ornament canvas but was thinking upside down! Don’t know how I saw a candy there but my eyes got sparkled! 😍 So I decided to add some candy colors just for sharing that same feelings with you!

Let’s go for the detailed process:

1. First you have to Take the Artsy Ornament canvas and rotate it upside down. Can you see the black and white candy-like thingy there?

2. Pick some colors from the acrylic color box if you want your candy colorful.

3. With the help of a paint brush, color the canvas circle wise just like the picture. I have chosen the pink one for my candy.
 4. You know, I love Quilling and I’m definitely going to put some easy Quilling here. They are my Mini quilling candy.
5. Have you noticed your color just overlapped the design? Just hang in there, relax! Do you have a Gel pen in your pencil bag? I bet you have! So, Let’s get it done!
5. Now it’s time to paint around the quilling coils so that these may look like mini candies.
6. And finally add some dew drops for the sparkles. I know you don’t wanna miss that! 😉
See? It’s a piece of cake! I believe you are satisfied with the final outcome just like I did!
You’ll find all the dew drops  here which I have used for this project.

Fairy Spools

Hello, today I am with Robin’s Nest Dew Drops! I have created some Fairy Spools.
I used the following products –
Grafix Shrink Film
Wooden thread spool
Paper flowers
Lace and muslin
Glue gun
Black Sharpie Marker
To start this project, print off your images on to the Grafiz Shrink Film and cut them out, then bake them to the manufacturer’s directions on the package. Remember they will shrink about 50% so print your images according to that measurement. I printed my images about 4″ tall and they shrank to approximately 2″ tall.
Using a Sharpie marker, I colored the edges of the image black. Using the glue gun, I attached my fairy to the top of the spool and then filled around her feet with flowers and Dew Drops.

Next, wrap the spool with lace or muslin and use a pin for decoration and add the dew drops to base. Here are the finished pieces.

EASY Decor with Dew Drops and Epoxy

Hello Crafters!
I’m a bit giddy about this project, it was an “experiment” that actually worked. SUPER EASY, TOO!
I mentioned in my previous Robin’s Nest Design Team post of Aug 10, 2020 that I’ve been playing around with epoxy.  I wasn’t quite sure how the Dew Drops were going to behave in the thick liquid, but they performed like a Champion!
SUPPLIES:

Dew Drops by Robin’s Nest
2 part clear epoxy medium
silicone mold
Art glitter

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Select a silicone mold shape.
2. Pour a nice bouquet of colors and shapes of Dew Drops into the mold. (The more, the better!)
I used green, purple, aqua, and yellow.
3. Mix epoxy medium according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Add glitter that compliments the color choices of the Dew Drops. (I used purple and gold glitter).
4. Pour the epoxy mixture into the mold. Fill the mold, completely to the top.
5. Let set overnight.
6. Remove the hardened epoxy shape from the mold, gently.  VIOLA!

So easy, yet gorgeous!  I might be going on a pouring frenzy.  I hope you’re inspired to pull out your dusty silicone molds and give it a try, too!

Thanks for stopping by the blog!
Craft on,
Becky

How to Embellish Images with Dew Drops

Hi Guys,
It is Karen here today to bring my layout with stamped embellishments.  I took inspiration from my little niece’s cute dress to make this layout.   The little bee is visible which is why I stamped and fussy cut numerous chubby bees to embellish the layout.

Unfortunately, the little watermelon embroidered design on the dress didn’t make it in the photo so I added a sweet chipboard watermelon slice instead.

Directions:

  • Trim a piece of polka dot paper 1/4″ and attach to a coordinating color leaving a narrow border.
  • Use a fancy edge punch to cut a strip of scrolled lacy border onto white card stock.
  • Create a 4″ border with paper strip and attach to the lower edge of the layout.
  • Matte 2 photos together with a narrow border of yellow card stock.
  • Adhere to the photo block to the center of the layout.
  • Use black ink pad to stamp bees onto white card stock, color yellow, and fussy cut.
  • Add clear varnish to the bee’s wings and set aside to dry.
  • For the title, add a scrolling sentiment along the bottom edge.
  • Attach a Round Black Dew Drop to create the bee’s head.
  • Adhere a random scattering of Black Tear Drops as faux watermelon seeds.
  • Finally, attach Yellow Tear Drops as the faux juicy lemon pulp.
