Give Them a Permanent Conversation Heart with Dew Drops

It’s hard to believe it’s time to begin thinking about what to do for Valentine’s Day.  I have a wonderful idea, that requires a little planning and a bit of patience to execute, to share with you today.  This project will take and hour to prepare and 24 hours to complete.

Materials:

Dew Drops, I particularly love how the mix of black white and red came out
Prima extra fine glitter
Heart shaped mold – I selected one from Wilton brand
Plastic cups with graded measurements 8oz disposable plastic cups for paint and epoxy mixing
Wooden mixing sticks
Art n’ Glow Clear Casting and Coating Epoxy Resin – 16 ounce kit
Reynolds non-stick foil
Torch or heat gun

Steps:

1.  Prepare everything you need on your work table.  I recommend covering your table with butcher paper in case of spills.  The epoxy hardens everywhere!

2.  In separate cups put equal amounts of epoxy resin and hardener.  I used six ounces of each.

3.  Mix resin and hardener as directed with a wooden mixing stick in a third plastic cup. Once the resin is thoroughly mixed you will have about 40 minutes to work with it before it begins hardening.

4.  Pour resin mixture into prepared forms

5. Add dew drops in your favorite color and add glitter as desired.

6.  Heat with torch or heat gun to remove bubbles

7.  Cover with foil and leave to dry in a flat place for 24 hours, this allows the resin to cure and harden.  After 24 hours you can unmold your hearts!  If you wish you can add rub ons on the back in your favorite words, or just keep them plain and display them!

Hope you have a great time making this little token of Valentine love!

How to Make an Amazing Gumball Machine Embellishment

Welcome,
It’s Karen here. I hope you are ready to make an amazing gumball machine embellishment. This would even look great on a scrapbook layout. Dew Drops come in every color and are perfect gumballs. I didn’t have a gumball machine rubber stamp or die so I made my own. It is super easy! Let’s get going!

Supplies:

Directions:
1. Stamp a circle with black ink onto white cardstock. I actually used an ornament stamp for the gumball globe.  Alternatively, use a circle punch to cut a 2.5″ circle.

2. Cut two rectangles from red card stock for the base and top of the gumball machine. Add a narrow red strip along the base, a knob, and a dispenser. Use a black marker to create the appearance of the tunnel where the gum would exit. Assemble the pieces.

3. Select primary color Dew Drops and adhere them to the gumball machine. Take care when assembling them so that each gumball rests naturally in the valley that is created by the two beneath it. This will give an authentic and natural appearance rather than trying to create neat and precise rows. Set aside to thoroughly dry.

4. Use a polka dot embossing folder to add texture to white card stock.

5. Stamp a sentiment in the upper portion using black ink. Trim it and attach it to a red card base leaving a narrow 1″ red border on the right side.

6. Attach the gumball machine to the lower right corner overlapping the edge.

7. Use liquid adhesive to add a gumball in the dispenser, as well as, some loose gumballs near the base.

How to Add Dew Drops on a Mixed Media Tag

Hello Crafty Friends!
Fairuz Fabiha here. Today I’ll be sharing with you my first project of 2020, which is a lovely soft toned mixed media tag. The lovely neon pink dewdrops goes so well with the muted pink and gold background and add an interest to the project. I’ve been inspired by the beginning of a new year to add the sentiment ‘A new beginning’.

Here’s some closeup photos-

How to Create Perfect Highlights with Dew Drops

Special moments and perfect pictures.  Sometimes you do not need a lot of product to create a meaningful and beautiful scrapbook page.

But you do want that “oomph” to make your page pop! And that’s when you reach for Dew Drops!

My niece recently got engaged, and I am documenting the road to her wedding day! This layout features her “Save the Date” card and a few engagement photo “out takes” I swiped off Facebook and made into a collage.

I am using the Poinsettia Dew Drop Mix and the Rhapsody Collection from Photo Play for this layout.

Dew Drops add dimension and sparkle to this layout

Design Notes:  machine stitching and the name tag (Beyoutiful) from the patterned paper are fun touches!

Art Journal with Dew Drops

Hello Crafty Friends,
Marie-Christine with you today with a page in my Diary Journal, very easy and very quick to do!
I used mini and original pink Dew Drops on it.
How to do

First, this is the original background before I added Distress Inks, I chose 2 green colors.
Then, I used a floral stencil from TCW with purple Distress Inks on the background.
I found a vintage image on Pinterest, I adhered it on the right, and I colored the leaves on the top with markers. I printed my title on a white paper and stuck my mini and original pink Dew drops.
That’s all, very easy and quick page, do you love it?
