Let’s Do Some Candy

Srabonti Sandha here from Tale of Quilling. Today I have created a project with the Artsy Dewdrop Ornament canvas but was thinking upside down! Don’t know how I saw a candy there but my eyes got sparkled! 😍 So I decided to add some candy colors just for sharing that same feelings with you!

Let’s go for the detailed process:

1. First you have to Take the Artsy Ornament canvas and rotate it upside down. Can you see the black and white candy-like thingy there?

2. Pick some colors from the acrylic color box if you want your candy colorful.

3. With the help of a paint brush, color the canvas circle wise just like the picture. I have chosen the pink one for my candy.
 4. You know, I love Quilling and I’m definitely going to put some easy Quilling here. They are my Mini quilling candy.
5. Have you noticed your color just overlapped the design? Just hang in there, relax! Do you have a Gel pen in your pencil bag? I bet you have! So, Let’s get it done!
5. Now it’s time to paint around the quilling coils so that these may look like mini candies.
6. And finally add some dew drops for the sparkles. I know you don’t wanna miss that! 😉
See? It’s a piece of cake! I believe you are satisfied with the final outcome just like I did!
You’ll find all the dew drops  here which I have used for this project.

Some closeups here:

I hope you like this project. Thanks for stopping by. If you like my work, you can find me on-

Dewdrops adore beautiful flower girl

Hello beautiful souls!
How are you all?
How will it be if we work with a beautiful flower girl today? I am talking about the beautiful Artsy flower girl dewdrop canvas of Robin’s nest. It’s a new release of them and I loved it so much.
Let’s see the process of  making..

1. First I took the canvas and applied bronze color spray using brick stencil as background.

2. I have distressed green ink using inkpad and a foam brush.

3. I have colored the image for giving a bright look. You have to color it carefully so that the design doesn’t get disturbed. Try to add as little water as possible. Don’t be hard to your brushes. Apply gently.

4. Finally I have added my dewdrops to the canvas. I used different colors for giving vibrant look. You can use single color too.
5. I have outlined the face with black marker for enhancing its beauty.

How to Make Easy Mosaic Magic with Dew Drops Creative Canvas

Hello and welcome to the blog. Shelly with you today sharing some mosaic magic with the “Artsy Rose” Creative Dew Drop Canvas.

I have become completely enamored of the Creative Canvas kits from the Robins’s Nest – – there are so many ways to use them and the process is relaxing, creative bliss!

There are so many different looks that can be achieved – my project definitely has a mosaic vibe – and it was as easy as doing a paint-by-number!

Kits come with a pre-printed canvas, a supply of Dew Drops and an inspiration pic!

There are many ways to apply Dew Drops, just dot some glue on your canvas and add the Dew Drop!

My go-to for applying a LOT of Dew Drops is Embellie Gellie from ScraPerfect – gently pick up and place Dew Drops – so easy and fast!

Designer Tip #1:  Use a Fine Tip Sharpie to outline the canvas design – helps anchor and define your piece

Designer Tip #2:  Use ALL of the different shapes and sizes to give your piece dimension and texture – experiment!

I did add some ink and paint to the canvas…
But I am still undecided how this piece will end up… I have 2 ideas:
-Fussy cut rose, add to a mixed media canvas with quote from Beauty and the Beast (Beauty is Found Within or Until the Last Petal Falls)
-Fussy cut rose and add to a card for Mother’s day – I think this would make a SPECTACULAR card!
So if you have read this far, I am going to let YOU decide how I should use this rose!  Leave a comment…..
Choose 1 of my 2 options – – or tell me how YOU would use it!  Someone will receive a Dew Drop RAK direct from my stash!!
Thanks for stopping by the blog today – have a creative week!
