Mermaid to Smile

Howdy y’all!

Mary Ellen here from Creative Time With ME! Today I will be sharing with y’all how I created this fun slimline mermaid watercolor shaker card using The Robin’s Nest Dew Drops!

Materials
  1. Bring out the surface you paint on. I use a small wooden cutting board.
  2. Next bring out your watercolor paper
  3. Then you can take your spray bottle and spritz onto the watercolor paper
  4. Pick up your paintbrush and do a wash of colors in ombré order from lightest to darkest
  5. Take your Heat It Craft Tool to dry your watercolor paper
  6. You will then bring out your MISTI, Mermaid Tail stamp and MFT Extreme Black Ink Pad
  7. Ink up your stamp and stamp image
  8. Bring out your Sizzix Sidekick
  9. Now you can bring the Mermaid Tail die and place over the image on watercolor paper
  10. Place some Post-Its or washi tape down to secure your die over the image
  11. When that is done you can run the Mermaid Tail die through the Sizzix Sidekick
  12. You will use the die on both the watercolor paper and acetate sheet
  13. Once that is done you will bring out your Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue
  14. Glue the watercolor paper to the acetate sheet
  15. It’s now time to bring out the Foam Tape
  16. You will want to double up on the Foam Tape so that you have enough room for the shaker bits
  17. Any excess doubled up on the Foam Tape you will place under the mermaid tail
  18. Now you will bring out some patterned paper that resembles the ocean
  19. Fussy cut the patterned paper
  20. Place doubled up foam tape behind the patterned paper. Enough so you can tuck part of the mermaid tale under the paper
  21. Now you can put The Robin’s Nest Dew Drops inside the shaker element
  22. Next begin to remove the backing from the doubled up foam tape enough so you can place the mermaid tail down
  23. After placing the mermaid tail in the middle of the card front. Remove the remaining backing from the doubled up foam tape
  24. Then place the water/scale patterned paper a little on top of the mermaid tail. Enough to cover the section of the stamped image to hide the bottom of the mermaid tail body
  25. Die cut a sentiment out of black cardstock
  26. Place glue on the back of the sentiment and attach to the water/scale patterned paper
  27. Your card is now complete! And ready to give to a recipient.
Later today I will have the video tutorial up!

Design your Jewelry with The Robin’s Nest

Howdy y’all!

Mary Ellen from Creative Time With ME is here! I have a fun jewelry making tutorial to share with y’all!

Materials
  1. Start out with your Ring Base Blank
  2. Cut Scrapbook Adhesives 12 by 12 Adhesive Sheets into the shape of your ring base
  3. Peel the backing from your cut Scrapbook Adhesives 12 by 12 Adhesive Sheets and attach it to the ring base
  4. Now peel the front backing from your cut Scrapbook Adhesives 12 by 12 Adhesive Sheet
  5. Take your Ribbon and twist it
  6. While you are twisting the Ribbon attach it to the front of your ring.
  7. Do this by placing it onto the exposed Scrapbook Adhesives 12 by 12 Adhesive Sheet
  8. Continue to twist the ribbon around the top of your Ring Base Blank
  9. Once the top of your ring is covered bring out the Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue
  10. You will use the Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue  to attach any remaining twisted Ribbon onto your ring
  11. When this part is done your ring will appear to be a twisted ribbon rosette
  12. Bring out The Robin’s Nest Mardi Gras Dew Drops  to place in the center of your rosette
  13. Use the Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue  to attach The Robin’s Nest Mardi Gras Dew Drops
  14. The ring is now complete so let’s party!

Celebrate Amazing You

Howdy!

Mary Ellen from Creative Time With ME is here! I have a super cute watercolor slimline card perfect for any occasion!

Stamps: Waffle Flower Succulents
Paper: CTMH White Daisy, Black, Arches Watercolour Cold Pressed
Ink: VersaMark Dazzle Frost
Accessories: Ranger Embossing Powder Vintage Pearl, CTMH Watercolor Paints, Spellbinders About Us, SU! Amazing You, Scrapbookcom Celebrate, The Robin’s Nest Mardi Gras Dew Drops
  1. This card starts out by cutting some cardstock and watercolor paper into a slimline card.
  2. For me that means we cut the watercolor paper to 3 5/8 x 8 1/2
  3. You do the same for the cardstock with the exception that you set the remaining 7 3/8 x 8 1/2 aside
  4. Now take the 7 3/8 x 8 1/2 cardstock and fold it in half on your scoreboard.
  5. Next, pull out the stamp set.
  6. Create masks for the 3 succulents that you want to use.
  7. Then fussy cut the masks out.
  8. Now take those masks and use them to help you figure out where you want to place the stamps on your card front.
  9. Take your We R Precision Press Advanced and 3 of the stamping plates for it
  10. Use the plates for your stamps.
  11. Bring out your powder tool to clear away areas that might have moisture on them
  12. Stamp apply embossing powder.
  13. Heat up the embossing powder.
  14. Place mask over stamped image.
  15. Repeat until all 3 stamps have been used.
  16. Then flip the card front over and repeat the stamping and embossing steps.
  17. Die cut a sentiment
  18. Place on card front
  19. Glue the card front to the base.
  20. When that is done place The Robin’s Nest Dew Drops onto your card.

Easter Bunny Love

Howdy y’all!

Mary Ellen here from Creative Time With ME! I have an adorable bordering on elegant Easter card to share with you!
  1. I began creating this card by bringing out some white cardstock that had adhesive sheet on the back
  2. Then I brought out my Martha Stewart bunny punch
  3. After punching out about 10+ bunnies I stacked them onto each other
  4. Then I stamped the sentiment onto the card front
  5. Going back to the paper bunnies. I brought out my T-square ruler to help me make sure that my bunny was straight
  6. Next I glued the tear shaped Dew Drops onto the card front to create a heart shape
  7. I then brought out a pen to help create the illusion that the Dew Drops were carrots
  8. Finally I put the second bunny onto the card front
  9. And to finish things off I attached the card front to the base

Paper: CTMH White Daisy
